Captain Hogg’s Fishing Report

We will start fishing for Tautaug in late march and April. Here are some pictures. As you can tell from these fish pictures the SMOKIN’ GUN II is a great Virginia Charter Boats to enjoy a day of Virgina Sportfishing on.

Rockfish season is here. We are fishing the lower Chesapeake Bay and Ocean for Striped Bass aka Rockfish. The Striped bass that we will be catching on the virginia rockfish charter boat Smokin Gun II will range from 10-60 lbs. The Striped bass top water casting action has been wide open. This is a great way to catch Rockfish it realy puts smiles on the faces of our rockfish charter groups.

Tidewater Family Dentistr’s Fishing trip was a great worker appreciation day. By the end of the day employee and employer worked as one to catch fish and have a great day on the Chesapeake Bay charter boat SMOKIN’ GUN II. The Smiles and full cooler show how great the fishing in the Lower Chesapeke Bay is.

Frank Bond and friend showed up today to do battle with the cobia and they got a bonus. We caught five cobia and frank got his Fourth virginia saltwater citation a great 53 inch Cobia. Then the lower chesapeake bay offered a suprise like it usualy does with this GIANT 54 inch Red Drum. Don’t forgett about the Virginia striped bass fishing season that runs from oct 4 to march. The Past few days of Virginia Charter Fishing has been great.
